I am a weight management and healthy lifestyle professional working in the industry for many years with companies such as: Weight Watchers, Kaiser Permanente, Jazzercise, Coaching by MJ and as the CEO of a franchised weight loss company. I am an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Health Coach and Weight Management Specialist.
A LITTLE ABOUT MY PHILOSOPHY… I do not believe in a “cookie cutter – one size fits all” approach to health and weight management. It simply does not work for a vast majority of people and not an approach that is beneficial for long term health and wellness. The wonderful and amazing thing about us is that we are all unique individuals and should be treated and coached as such. Our bodies, lifestyles and needs are constantly changing, and your coaching experience should support that.
I meet YOU where YOU are in YOUR journey to health. Together, we work to identify and develop a plan to accomplish your personal goals. My no-judgement approach is not complicated. It is simply based on my beliefs and practices that to achieve long term success, weight management and lifestyle changes must be SAFE, SENSIBLE, SIMPLE & SUSTAINABLE! Most importantly, they must work for YOU!
A FRIENDLY CHAT…
chat – I like to start out by scheduling a casual “get acquainted chat”. This is really a complimentary consultation offering both of us an informal opportunity to learn a little bit about one another…pressure free. I promise, you will not get any hard-core sales tactics from me. I even share costs of coaching below.
goals – We will touch briefly on your goals and get an understanding of what support you are looking for from a coach.
approach – We will discuss my overall philosophy, approach, and expectations to see if and how working together could be the most beneficial for you.
agreement – If we determine that Coaching by MJ is a good fit for you, we will then schedule our 1st session.
LET’S GET STARTED…
4 sessions – We start out with the minimum of 4 consecutive sessions. Our first session is focused your current health, food and beverage likes and dislikes, eating style and habits and goal setting.
customized – The following sessions will be focused on a customizable nutritional coaching plan that we agree will be a good fit for your unique body and lifestyle, setting realistic benchmarks to measure progress.
support – I will be with you every step of the way! Weekly support includes: 1 weekly phone session, unlimited text and email support, large doses of motivation, inspiration, food education, product introductions, and meal planning and recipe ideas.
– weekly weigh-ins & reporting… Each week we will monitor your progress & keep you accountable to your goals with weekly weigh-ins and reporting to me.
– weight management strategies… You will be able to stay on top of your goals with suggested healthy eating strategies, inspired menu planning ideas, easy recipes and fitness and wellness tips.
– motivation & inspiration… You will stay motivated and inspired with tips and tricks to help you make it through the tough times.
fees – Fees are $55/session. $220 is due and payable in full prior to the first session. Additional sessions may be purchased in 4 session packages.
